  • Alithia's Art Angels Little Free Library-Gallery

Alithia's Art Angels Little Free Library-Gallery

On April 28, 2024, Alithia’s Art Angels Little Free Library-Gallery had its grand opening, commemorating the 12th birthday of Alithia Haven Ramirez. The little free library was kindly donated by Little Free Library, an organization that promotes literacy and a love for reading.

Alithia was an extraordinary young girl who was passionate about art and reading and had already won an award with her ‘KINDNESS TAKES COURAGE!’ Poster. She aspired to study at the Paris College of Art to become a professional artist, create comic books, and sell her art online. Unfortunately her life was cut short; however, her legacy continues through Alithia’s Art Angels Little Free Library-Gallery, which embodies her kind spirit and love for sharing art and books with others. The library-gallery, lovingly maintained by her mother Jess, provide a safe space for young artists to explore their creativity, leave and take artwork and books, share their passion for art and literature, and foster a sense of community.

We invite the community and visitors to be part of a positive change and visit and help by keeping this little library-gallery going. Alithia’s Art Angels Little Free Library (Charter #162737) is located beside her mural, created by artist Juan Velazquez at Alithia’s Art Alley in Uvalde, Texas. Let us come together to spread kindness and foster a love for art and books.
