In a regional contest, Alithia Ramirez's "Kindness Takes Courage" Bullying Prevention poster won from her school of 2nd through 4th graders in 2021. Although Alithia's poster won the contest, prize giving was delayed— sadly, until after her death. Alithia's mother, Jess Hernandez, made sure that the school finally delivered on their promise to award a plaque for Alithia's outstanding achievement.
